This Privacy Policy explains what information intoptrend.com collects, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have — including how our advertising and affiliate partners use cookies.
Intoptrend (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates intoptrend.com (the “Site”), an independent publisher of buying guides and product reviews. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
This Policy applies to intoptrend.com only. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, including Amazon.com and other retailers, which have their own privacy policies — see Section 15. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here, consistent with our Terms and Conditions.
The Site does not require an account to browse or read content. We collect personal information directly from you only when you choose to provide it, such as:
We use this information only to respond to you and to maintain a record of the correspondence, consistent with Section 4.
Like most websites, the Site automatically collects certain information when you visit, primarily through cookies and similar technologies operated by us and by our analytics and advertising partners (see Section 4 and Section 6). This typically includes:
This information does not usually identify you by name. Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) treats this data as personal information because it relates to an identifiable device or browser, we handle it consistent with the rights described in Section 11.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. We and our third-party partners use the following categories of cookies:
Required for basic site functionality, such as remembering your cookie consent choice. These do not require consent under most cookie laws.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are popular, how people navigate between guides, and general traffic trends. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. See Section 6 for how Google handles this data.
The Site displays advertisements served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. You can control personalized advertising through the settings described in Section 12.
When you click a product link on the Site — for example, a link to Amazon.com — the destination retailer may set a cookie on your device to attribute a purchase to Intoptrend as an Amazon Associate, so that we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This cookie is set by the retailer, not by Intoptrend, and is governed by that retailer’s own privacy policy.
You can control cookies generally through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; note that blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site functions.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some state laws (see Section 11.2), the use of cookies for advertising purposes may be defined as a “sale” or “share” of information, and this Section, together with Section 12, describes how to opt out.
We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Site. Each processes data according to its own privacy policy, linked below:
We do not control these providers’ own data practices. This Policy does not cover, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third-party service, however integrated it may be with the Site.
Google, as our advertising partner, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites (“interest-based” or “behavioral” advertising). You can control this in several ways:
Opting out means you’ll still see ads on the Site — they just won’t be personalized based on your browsing activity elsewhere.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as data about race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, health, or sexual orientation. Please do not include this type of information in the Contact form or any message you send us — we have no need for it, and including it does not help us respond to you.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Our service providers, including Google, operate data centers in multiple countries, which means your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to it, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; details are available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Note: Intoptrend itself is not separately certified under the Data Privacy Framework and does not maintain its own international data transfer infrastructure — this section describes the safeguards provided by our third-party processors, not a certification held by Intoptrend directly.
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights over your personal information. We honor these rights for all visitors, regardless of location, as a matter of practice.
You have the right to:
Our legal basis for processing is, depending on the activity: your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies), our legitimate interest (for operating and securing the Site), or the steps necessary to respond to a request you’ve made to us (for Contact form submissions).
You have the right to:
To opt out of the sale/sharing of information via advertising cookies, use the tools in Section 13, or contact us directly using Section 17.
Even if the laws above don’t formally apply to you, you can still contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it — see Section 17.
The Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 17, and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is currently no industry-standard way to respond to DNT signals, and our Site does not currently change its behavior in response to them. You can still control tracking directly through the cookie and ad-choice settings described in Section 13.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS encryption for data in transit, to protect information collected through the Site. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes — such as adding a new type of data collection or a new advertising partner — we will provide reasonably prominent notice on the Site for a period of time. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
